Walt, hi,Long time no hear! Sounds like things are going great for you - excellent!I'm delighted with my WP Dream Theme. Just one small niggle that I haven't been able to fix is the 'Share This' link: it doesn't convert to the image and link in my Featured Article box.Everywhere else it works perfectly - just that one box! I've emailed Ben a couple of times about it, but it sounds like you've been taking up all his time..!! :DAnyway - good to see you're on top form and no doubt we'll catch up soon,Cheers,Martin.

Chris,

First of all, thanks for taking time to visit and offering your feedback.

Yep, I agree the grey comment block is confusing. I do need to tweak that since it might cause me to lose comments and repeat visits.

No follow in the outgoing links, giving away too much juice? Maybe... Maybe I wanted to give back to some people who showed me prior link luv? Yeah, it doesn't help to give link juice to sites unrelated to my niche, like Ben's, Martin's, and Darlene's, but these are people who've helped buzz prior posts and have given me some prior link juice.

I do consulting with local brick and mortar businesses. I have only one client within driving distance of where I live. Local search results really don't matter to me.

Title coding and tags... yep, when I'm writing a post for my niche, I'll work in H1 title tags. Browse some of my old posts. Also, Chris, I'm curious... why would you use default permalinks rather than keyword post name permalinks? Or, perhaps that doesn't matter...

Btw... here are your links activated:

Google Juice Article:
http://www.keywebdata.com/?p=86

Local Search Article:
http://www.keywebdata.com/?p=93

The comments area uses a WYSIWYG Plug-In. I figure that's easier for visitors to format their comments.

I'll look forward to checking out the update of your ebook.

But, I gotta admit... I approach my blog with a Seth Godin mindset. I really don't pay too much attention to Google juice. My focus is first on content for my market, small business owners and developing the relationship with them. I'm active in niche social networking sites, and actively comment on top-tier blogs in my niche.

Could I get faster, better search results? Perhaps... but at what cost in time and effort?

One more thing, look how your comments code collapses your comments with no paragraphs. This has got to go, most WP themes create paragraphs out of line breaks.Look how my comment above is all stuck together and the links don't work, I have never seen a theme that does this, you gotta fix it.Or maybe it is just because it in unapproved. If so just delete this post. - Chris

A few things, your comments box should have a white background, I even wondered where it was.Next use nofollow in links like the XHTML and wordpress links, there is no reason to give these links Google juice.http://www.keywebdata.com/?p=86Lastly since you do local business marketing you should read my latest article on Local Search and mapping.http://www.keywebdata.com/?p=93Nice theme, I am glad this guy was able to do such a good job for you. Wordpress is hard to work with, believe me I know. Also you need to optimize Wordpress with better title coding and h1 tags in the title. You will get better rankings. It's in the book you bought from me and you will get an update later this week since you already bought it.
